Threads
Anecot® Organic is predominant thread that we use for our tea bags. It does not have much wax coating on it and is purest organic thread that I can find.
Scanfil® Organic Cotton Thread #4801 is waxed and is only used to sew the tags of the tea bags.
Drawstrings
Organic Cotton, Biodegradable, Eco-Friendly, AZO-Free Dye, and Oil-Free.
Care Guide
We recommend handwashing the tea bag with plain water for longevity. Use gentle detergent when necessary. Cold water wash preserves color and integrity but when needed, sanitize with hot water. Do not leave tea bag soaking for hours. Hang dry between uses.
*When opening a wet tea bag, gently pry open to avoid stressing the fabric.
Also, if you use dried fruits like rose hip in tea that you would drop it straight into your tea cup instead of brewing it in the tea bag. It just makes cleaning the bag easier!
